Beanie crochet patterns are fun to work in any season and this Bulky Classic Beanie is no exception! The Bulky Classic Beanie crochet pattern is an easy to work design that can be made up in less than an hour! The hat is so easy to work and the tapered top means that there is no bulk!

It features a classic knit look and the slip stitch ribbing means that the beanie has lots of stretch and will keep its perfect shape.

Skill Level: Easy

Gauge: 12 sts x 17 rows of sl st in blo = 4 inches

Finished Size: 9 x 7 inches laid flat, to fit an adult head with a 20-22 inch circumference

Yarn: Wool Easy Thick & Quick ® by Lion Brand® (80% Acrylic, 20% Wool; 5 oz, 140 g; Approx. 87 yds, 80 m). Super Bulky Weight (4). You will need one ball to complete the beanie.

Hook: Size N/15 (10.0 mm) Hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Hi Sarah. I consider myself a newby, so this is perfect. I am so impressed at the way you reduced the bulk at the top. That was worth the whole video, but thanks for it all. I normally hate working with bulky yarns, but my viewers have been pushing me to try it. I'm now working on this hat and it is coming along beautifully! It wont make me love bulky yarn, but at least I get a nice new beanie out of it 😂 Great tutorial. Thank you!
