I would do a fresh install. But if you do the upgrade I would highly highly recommend backing up your data. Remember to backup any custom fonts, icons, themes, etc. ssh keys too.

Thanks for the video! I'm still on Mint 21.3 so I will upgrade to 22 soon using your tutorials. 🙂

Thanks for sharing. In case it helps if anyone finds the system font is changed from the one used on their version 21.3, just go to software manager and search for fonts-ubuntu-classic and install, after reboot the system interface font will be back to previous Mint. For me it's much more readable.

I'm totally fine with my 21.3 version. I think I'll wait a couple of months to upgrade.

My install from 21.2 to 22 Linux Mint keeps erroring with the repositories. I tool a screen shot but can't attach anything here

Interesting about Nvidia drivers. Would there be any mileage in changing to the open source driver before setting off on this update and then reset it back after?

Thor -
Is the move from 21.3 to 22 for Ubuntu based Mint only ?
- Can we apply it to the Debian based LMDE-6 system as well ?
