I had to upgrade to Linux Mint 20.3 before the MINTUPGRADE tool would even work. Worked perfectly after that. Thanks for posting

Done everything you said to do, but after the check for packages I got the message: cannot find package with mintupgrade??? Can I find it somewhere as another file?

Hello,
I'm trying to upgrade from 20.3 to 21.0 as per your instructions.
But when I am executing the command "sudo mintupgrade", show me this "Please don’t run this command as root or with elevated privileges".
Any ideas:
Mintupgrade version : 2020.07.18.1
Thank you.

Hiya, forgive me if this is answered below, but...

Is it possible to upgrade to Mint 21.whatever directly from Ubuntu (currently 22.04)??
Or do I need to re-install from scratch?
I do have /home on its own partition if that helps at all!

for some reason, does work when you are already on a higher level of mint (21.1). Wanted to upgrade to 21.2 but nada. What is the purpose of these tools? Should they not also be updated once a new version of mint becomes available?
