I run a 22:40 and I feel like I am putting in a lot of work, but this video was very eye opening to me and so are all your other videos. I realize more and more there are so much other variables that apply to a fast time that just trying hard at practice. Even though all the other sophomore boys run way faster than me with the same practice, I am not gonna give up and your videos seriously make me want to keep going until I hit my max.
Anyways thank you so much, I love your videos and have been here since 5k subs, I really hope you succeed because I will be cheering you on!! 😄

Dude. You are insane. The fastest 14 year old I know does a 16.44 5k. You being able to be a freshman running a 15.53 5k is inspiring. I'm also a freshman, and my mile PR is a mere 7.29, and 5k time of 27.26. I'm hoping to get my mile down to 6.30 by the end of 2025, and my 5k time by the end of 2025 to under 22. I hope to see you continue, and I hope you can get a 15.30 :)

Time for Evan to go out even faster than before and still have the fastest mile in the end, only that it then takes him to overtake number 3 and 4 in the team!!!! They only finished in front of you because you were too conservative planning your strategy, ask your coach if he wants you to go bananas next time earlier on to have a shorter gap to the front. You can do it and crush those upperclassmen :D

Be careful about speeding up your pace too much on easy runs. I did the same thing, thinking I wasn't going to get injured either way with it still being rather easy and ended up getting much faster in a shorter amount of time, but ended up receiving a pretty bad knee injury that had me out for 7 months (although that was probably only one of the few reasons) and I'm back to square one. You'll probably be fine, but not everyone can be applicable

I was going through the results for the xc challenge trying to find where I was, and I didn’t realize that your team was there, so I was just scrolling through really fast until for some reason your name popped out to me when I went past and I had to scroll back down thinking that I was going crazy thinking I saw your name, but it actually was you. I really wish I would have known because I would have come up to say hi, but you had an absolutely amazing race especially with the hills, and congratulations on the team win!! Our team drove 9 hours from Cincinnati Ohio for the race and we got 32nd out of 34 teams in the championship race so I could not imagine how amazing it must feel to get first. Still a super fun meet though and such a cool environment.

Its fun to see not only you but your team getting fast as well. Coming from Herriman myself I know how mentally hard it is to be on such a good team, keep it up!

Running D1 times as a freshman is crazy. The super flat course probably has something to do with that though.
