Navigating the complexities of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessment can be daunting. Understanding the intricacies of PIP assessment trick questions is crucial for those looking to successfully apply for this benefit. The video "PIP Assessment Trick Questions" aims to shed light on the common pitfalls and misconceptions surrounding the PIP assessment process.

The PIP assessment is designed to determine the level of financial assistance needed by individuals with long-term ill-health or disabilities. Assessors are trained to evaluate the impact of a person's condition on their daily life and mobility. However, certain questions posed during the assessment can be perceived as 'tricky,' often leading to confusion and misinterpretation by applicants.

It is important to note that the term 'trick questions' does not imply any malicious intent on the part of the assessors. Instead, these questions are usually open-ended or framed in a way that seeks to understand the applicant's typical day-to-day abilities and challenges. The goal of this video is to prepare applicants by highlighting the types of questions that may require careful consideration and to provide tips on how to respond accurately and effectively.

When discussing PIP assessment trick questions, terms such as 'daily living activities', 'mobility assessment', and 'accurate representation of abilities' are often brought up. It is essential for applicants to be honest and thorough when describing their limitations. Vague or inconsistent answers can lead to an inaccurate assessment of one's needs.

Moreover, synonyms like 'evaluation queries', 'complex inquiries', and 'indirect questions' are also associated with the PIP assessment process. These reflect the varied nature of the questions that may be asked. Applicants should be aware that assessors will examine not only the physical aspects of their condition but also the mental and emotional effects.

The video provides a comprehensive overview of how to approach these questions with clarity and confidence. It emphasizes the importance of being prepared with specific examples of your daily life and how your condition affects your independence. Preparing in advance can help alleviate the stress associated with the assessment and increase the chances of a fair evaluation.

By the end of the video, viewers will have a better understanding of how to navigate the PIP assessment, respond to complex questions, and present their needs accurately. Remember, the aim is to secure the support that aligns with the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities or long-term health conditions.

In conclusion, the "PIP Assessment Trick Questions" video is an invaluable resource for those preparing for their PIP assessment. It offers guidance, reassurance, and the knowledge needed to engage with the process effectively.

It’s amazing how friendly these PIP assessors are at face-to-face meetings. It’s not until you read the reasons for your application being turned down that you fully see (but not appreciate) their levels of deception. One has to play them at their own game.
This is a simple but very useful video, thanks and well done to the author.

NEVER say that you have "good & bad days", they will concentrate on the "good" bit & refuse payment. My late Wife had this problem, although she was diagnosed with terminal cancer & given a few months to live, according to the "lovely people" who interviewed her, she was "getting better" !! With the help of a local hospice, we appealed & eventually won, but at that time, we could have done without the aggro & injustice !!

I arrived at an appointment with my dad and my husband to be told that they were running behind so there would be a bit of a wait. At the time I was horribly agoraphobic but had been told that if I didn’t attend the appointment I’d lose the benefit. I sat between dad and hubby for a good 30 minutes squeezing their hands so tightly that I was hurting them, nauseous and hyperventilating, using every last ounce of strength I had not to fly out of that building to the safety of the car. When I read the report that came with the refusal letter it stated that they’d left me in the waiting room ON PURPOSE - ie there was no delay - to see if I could cope, and because I was still there at the end of their ‘trial period’ I was clearly fit for work. I also discovered that the person interviewing me regarding my mental health was a physiotherapist. I am so glad to be out of that system and my sympathies lie with everybody having to jump through their unattainable hoops.

If you are not happy with the outcome of your PIP assessment take it to Tribunal, I waited over a year for mine and yes, it was stressful and at times I thought ‘ Oh lord, why did I do this ❓’ … however I was awarded Enhanced Daily living and enhanced mobility just by the judge looking at my papers, I didn’t even have to turn up in the end . Such a relief, if you are genuine and KNOW you are entitled to an award fight for it, it’s hard but so worth it .

Take it all the way to a tribunal, at mine the DWP doctor asked me if I could pick up an empty cardboard box, I stood up with my walking stick in one hand and told him health and safety clearly states to use both hands to lift along with bent knees, the tribunal judge awarded me PIP backdated to the previous year

I applied for PIP 3 years ago as I have a bad back injury and also suffer from breathlessness. I am 67. There are days when I struggle to walk up my garden path, about 10 metres. I was turned down on the grounds that, and I quote "We believe you can *easily* walk 500 metres. You can also make a sandwich. You have no problems with communication" and a few other reasons why they turned down my claim. I appealed and got the same response. *THIS WAS WITHOUT THEM EVEN SEEING ME* . They would not give me a face to face interview. I won't be called a liar - which is what they did. I gave up with them. It seems to me that the PIP questions are aimed at people with dementia or senility, neither of which I have. Frankly, these people disgust me and I feel for anyone who's been humiliated by this cruel and unjust system.

My assessor actually tried to get me to agree that the medication I was on "cured" my condition, when I told them it helps manage it the condition, as it was clearly stated in the specialist notes, they refused to accept that answer and tried asking me in 2 other ways. I told them that if they can't understand the notes or my condition, to let me speak to someone with a better general understanding of what lifelong incurable means. Needles to say they refused my claim for "insufficient evidence "

My PIP assessor for my PIP review said she was going to turn camera off for 5 mins, just hold on, then I heard her taking the mick out of me with her husband so I didn't say anything as I was recording everything that was going on. so I went from enhanced rate to nothing because of this assessor, she already was going to fail me from the start but obviously I appealed it and send a copy of the evidence (the recording) to DWP via my solicitor, so not only did the appeal be successful very quickly with in a week, she also got fired and I got awarded compensation. So please record your assessments.

Thank you for breaking down everything into short, helpful video. I need to fill my pip form, im struggling, and the task is overwhelming and get anxiety even thinking about the assessment in person.

I was asked to sign out at reception (while not been asked to sign 'in') just to test my claim of having severe arthritis in my hands (amongst other problems) I immediately recognised this request for what it was and confronted the assessor. She grunted and walked away, didn't even say goodbye. But regardless, the report was full of lies. I refuse to believe the assessors are incompetent, they are asked and paid to lie in their reports. Making the whole assessment pointless.

💜 I am tearful just reliving my experiences in the 2 hour exhausting assessment even though the assessor was nice and patient. Wish everyone strength and the positive support they deserve

What is the point of claiming this? PIP is supposed to stand for Personal Independence Payment. Yet, when the mentally ill and physically ill try to be 'Independent'... THEY TAKE IT FROM THEM!! PIP is a contradiction in terms.

This should be on mainstream media now

The assessors are not there to give you a fair assessment, they are there to stop you getting PIP. I could dress this statement up in a more lengthy wordy description but that is what it boils down to!

My most recent assessment took place in my home, with my friend present who helped when I got confused. She could clearly see the chairs I have placed every 2-3 metres which I explained allow me to rest my legs on way to bed/bathroom/kitchen, and the electric wheelchair to enable me to leave my home. She asked me to stand, then sit back down. Her assessment? I showed no signs of anxiety, and I can walk up to 50 metres!

They even notice your eye contact, I was told I made good eye contact in my interview, Earning I was confident, I explained have to do eye contact as I am reading your lips due to being deaf, one of my assessors threw a screwed up piece of paper and told me to pick it up explained I would lose my balance and end up doing a forwards roll like a foot baller going down at old trafford, x

course the assessors aim is to prevent you from claiming PIP, not let you claim what is rightfully yours....
