Genesis 2-3 | The Garden of Eden

Why is there so much pain and suffering in the world? This is an age old question. The ancient Hebrew people told this story, found in Genesis chapters 2 and 3, to address this complex issue. God created human life to be in relationship with God, nature, and each other. Yet, human life is also capable of betrayal, which leads to shame, blame, fear, hatred, and violence. This is the human condition.
