I have a third possible explanation: although Eve was tempted and ate, when she offered some of the fruit, Adam could have refused and talked to God about it. God would have confirmed the consequences to Adam of Eve’s sin and offered Adam the option to die in her place. If Adam had agreed, Eve could have been restored. God could have resurrected Adam just like he did Jesus because Adam was without sin. That didn’t happen. Unfortunately, after Adam (who did not stop Eve before she ate because he did not know God well enough to realize God would NEVER deceive them) ate, it was THEN that their eyes were opened. Then they were both beyond the point of return. I base this possibility upon the reference to Jesus in the NT as “the last or second Adam” (I Cor 15:45-49). The Last Adam did what the First Adam failed to do and DID die for His bride, the Church and was Raised.

How about…..It took Satin himself to temp woman, it took a woman to temp man. The weakness of man.

Who says Satan never tempted the man? He just may not have been successful with the man before the woman. (You can't say it didn't happen because the Bible doesn't replay everything that happened.)

This idea continues through the Bible to the very end. A woman who is Serpent's helper becomes a foolish woman or a strange woman, while the woman who is God's intended help for man is known as a wise woman who helps man find his way back to the Tree of Life (Pro 3:1, 15, 18; Pro 31:10). It's probably not a coincidence that woman was tempted with wisdom ("...and a tree to be desired to make one wise."), yet desire for more wisdom which is not in accordance with God's word often turns a wise one into a fool (Eze 28:2; Rom 1:22).

If you read the scriptures, it says Adam was with Eve when she eats from the tree. He, being the head of their family, should have stopped her. Instead, he watched her eat, and when she never dropped dead, then he ate . It also says sin ented after he eat. I find it strange that preachers never talk about the fact he was with her. Or the fact that he blames Eve and also God .

First off, Satan was not a serpent physically. The garden was beautiful and everything in it. Eve was not threatened or afraid during the conversation. It was after, when god curse Satan to crawl on his belly. The ground was a symbol of dirt and sin. He would forever dwell in darkness and sin would be all over him. Satan twisted the conversation with half truth. He still does it today.

kjv Genesis 3:3 (3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.) hi, do you even consider this verse, this is the key of the fall of eve as the serpent heard what eve just said, eve lack of information, because in the midst of the garden there are 2 tree and the worst part is eve added the word neither shall ye touch it, eve doesn't define it well: paralel verse kjv genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Because god told Adam not to take the fruit from the tree of good and evil first..but not the woman
Woman gave fruit to her husband afaraid that it is right to share the food….tempted by the serpent….
Satan is a liar!!!

Eve said GOD hath said to not eat of it or touch it cause you shall surely die, Eve knew not to eat of it!!, but her desire to be like GOD got the better of her, and gave to her husband also who was with her, maybe she looked at the tree alot before satan tempted her he knew she was facinated with it, who knows but one thing is for sure GOD already knew man would disobey, and already had Christ ready for our salvation, they had to be tested how would it be if they ate from the tree of life and ended up living foever in the flesh than sinned after would not be good thats why GOD safegaurded the tree of life just trust GOD and his Son for salvation and dont worry about it

Adam was around for many years even hundreds before eve arrived. Naming all animals isn't done in a lunch break. So Adam had a trusting relationship with my Father.
Lucifere was told to bow to Adam. This enraged him. He would have been trying to kill Adam many times without success.
Eve was new and Lucifer would have taken advantage of this.
Adam in a panic Eve would die, learned the knowledge too. Most likely from Eve.
He hoped his long term relationship with my Father would save them both.

She went to find solution to the reason Adam would not talk to her and wanted to be alone. So the deceiver met the woman in her wondering situation to proffer solution in the wrong way. The solution to Adam's sadness was the fruit, which he desired to eat. The reason why God said to the woman henceforth is your husband's desire shall be your desire, which is a curse. Eve only did what he had to do to make Adam happy. If you wish that l give a biblical explanation let me know.

Eve was the primary target because she was not present when God gave Adam instructions and did not know the truth making her vulnerable and gullible to the serpent’s tricks. She was not cursed in any way, and was not subordinated in any way — by God. Man did this.

Good Lord, there's so much misinformation here, both in the video and the comments below it. God told Adam about the 2 trees in the middle of the garden, right away. We don't know how long Adam was alive before God created Eve. The only reason we know they existed at all, is because God gave this information to Moses who wrote it down in what we call the Book of Genesis. God said he brought all the creatures he had made to Adam, and whatever Adam called them, that was their name. We have no idea how long that process took. It could have been years. At some point, God made the decision to make a mate for Adam; someone of his own kind. We don't know when that happened in the life of Adam. God didn't tell us that. We don't know what the conversation was between God and Adam when he introduced Eve to him, or how he introduced her to him. God didn't tell us that either. We don't know how long they lived together before the incident with the forbidden tree. We DO know that Eve knew it was forbidden, because the serpent asked her if God had really forbid them to eat of it, and she said yes and repeated what God had said. God did tell us that much. The point is there's a lot we haven't been told, and it's good to take that into account and be honest about it when teaching others.

I don't know why some people seem to have a hang-up about the serpent talking to them. It's no secret that animals have languages, and speak to one another. At that time, everything spoke the same language (it wasn't any language we have today) and they were able to communicate with one another. Ask anyone who owns a dog or cat, and they will tell you they DO communicate with you.

There's a lot about the relationship Adam and Eve had together that we don't know, but we can clearly see by the time we get to the incident with the forbidden tree, things don't seem to be going too well between them. Adam is standing there with Eve when the conversation between her and the serpent is happening, and he doesn't say a word. Adam knows what God said would happen if they even touch the forbidden fruit, or eat of it, and he's standing there watching his wife considering doing something he knows would kill her, and he says and does nothing; just watches. When Eve decides to actually reach out for the fruit, Adam doesn't try to stop her, he just stands there watching, apparently willing to watch her die. After they both disobey, and have begun experiencing the consequences, when God asks Adam if he had eaten the fruit he was commanded not to, not only does Adam blame Eve, but he really blames God; "The woman YOU gave me, gave me some and I ate of it." There's absolutely no hint of Adam being protective of his wife, or caring if she's there or not. In fact, he's telling God it's her fault and she should be the one to die. That pretty much tells us Adam was done with her by that point. There's a long story there, but I'm not going to go into it.

As for the serpent, you at least recognized it was used by satan, but you didn't consider why. Satan through the serpent was actively trying to get Eve to kill herself, basically a murder by suicide, but why? What grievance did he have with Eve? Satan is the first created son of God, Morning Star, whom we now know as lucifer. The sons of God are the angels, and they are all male; there aren't any female angels, contrary to what religions show. Morning Star was upset that God created Adam in the first place, and called him a son, elevating him to the same level of family that he and his brothers were. He began questioning God about this, but when God created Eve, that changed things dramatically because he gave her an ability he didn't give Morning Star or any of his brothers. Not only was Eve quite beautiful, but God gave her the ability to reproduce their own kind. This angered Morning Star greatly, and was the reason why he was able to convince a third of his brothers to join him in protest over this. The humans weren't impressive in any way; they were even made of dirt, so why was his father doing this?

This is where the grievance came from, that was behind satan using the serpent to try and tempt Eve to kill herself. He didn't expect Adam would join her; that was just a bonus. It was Eve he wanted. He wanted them both dead, but especially her because she could reproduce. As clever as he thought he was in doing this, he made a serious error. He thought they would die immediately, which Adam also clearly thought, and when Eve didn't appear to be dying or even having a bad reaction, Adam joined her instead of trusting his father God. For while God did say they would die, he did not say _when_ or how, and that was the error in satan's scheme. Instead of putting an immediate end to the humans, they wound up reproducing and filling the earth, which was the exact opposite of what satan wanted or thought would happen. He's been obsessed with defiling us ever since, constantly accusing us before God to show how stupid we are, and what a mistake it was to create us.

There's MUCH more to this story, but the essence of it is trust God and lean not on your own understanding. Obey what Jesus commanded us just before he left: "As I have loved you, love one another." That love is described in detail in 1st Corinthians Chapter 13, and that is in essence, the straight and narrow path.

He attacked both by attacking eve.

Satan knows to work smarter not harder, god says we need wisdom and knowledge.

From the narrative it isn't clear as to why the woman (was chosen to get cheated) instead of the man.

Adam was lonely, so God created beautiful woman. I bet, Adam wasn't very interested about snake's opinion at the time. So Snake Snakerson focused on woman. Adam was there, Eve was not alone.

I listened to this earlier this morning and I couldn't stop thinking about it. The more I kept thinking about it, the more it just kept making more and more sense because of how many parallels it unravels. This makes so much sense. Thank you so much for this. 🙏
