Sharks are so awesome. Especially great whites. I wish I could go see one up close like that too someday (staying safe, of course).

This shark was NOT being aggressive in any way. Look how it rolls and presents its belly.  It was probably being inquisitive.  It's people like this that automatically presume that the shark was trying to eat them, that have caused so much trouble for sharks in general.  Now people automatically think that when they see a shark, that shark wants to eat them - now they are being hunted to extinction.  Sharks are not the frenzied, man eating machines that they are made out to be.  They are magnificent creatures that have been here a hell of a lot longer than we have.  The ocean is their territory so when you venture in to the ocean, you should do so at YOUR OWN PERIL and the shark should not pay with its own life if YOU do something stupid.  If I had to see something like this, I would have been in absolute AWE !!!

it also plays in to one of the most remembered lines from the now so old it's bordering on classic movie "Jaws" witch helped set in motion the craze of killing them for no real reason in the US, the shark in the movie was huge, the ship, tiny. the shark actually pulls the boat in one sequence.

New Jersey fishermen white shark sighting is amazing. Looked like the shark was posing for those guys respect. You better believe he was. Intelligent animals at the very top of the food chain in existence before the dinosaurs with very little evolvement. Amazing.

This is a good point. I have heard several interviewed divers say if you act like prey, as in panic and flail about this can kick in the predatory instinct.

Wow, I always had an impression that the central and north-eastern coasts of America were too cold for large sharks and more suitable for Orcas and whales. But theres been alot of videos of them off South Carolina, New Jersey and even Massachussetts.

Now that is funny. We have three gold fish. My six year old little girl made the Wal-Mart employee net the specific three that she wanted amongst hundreds...lol I was amazed at the patience the guy had to do that for us...ha ha ha
