After Algeria's Imane Khelif faced flak on social media, Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-Ting was booed before her bout on Friday. However, it didn't stop the 28-year-old, who is embroiled in a political punch-up over her gender eligibility, to beat Sitora Turdibekova from Uzbekistan in women's 57kg class event at Paris Olympics 2024. Meanwhile, Italy's Angela Carini apologised to Khelif after the IOC came out in support of the Algerian boxer. Watch for more details.

Abused women are often made to think abuse is their fault. And the are also pressured to apologize instead of the abuser apologizing. Shane on the Olympic leadership.

0:37 look at the difference in musculature and the absence of subcutaneous fat.

This a shame.
The women should not agree to be involved. If everybody was in unison this would only be spoken of, but not Enacted.

The woman having to apologise to the abuser. WTF

She apologized? Why won’t women stand up for themselves? I no longer feel sorry for her. There is no more courage. That is a MAN. Everyone knows it.

Dude's clearly higher and more muscular than his opponent. Just ask any child which one is a guy. A female doesn't look like that

This is why it’s so important for any athlete who is representing a country to have a clean background with no questions on their qualifications. Because these countries deliberately chose these two is why they are facing backlash. Some ppl just want to win a gold medal so bad that they will try to get it by hook or by crook.

Another one? Are they saying it's OK for men to beat up women? Sickening 😮
Protect women sports from this madness.

"She has woman on her passport, and has lived aa a woman." Since when do legal documents take precedence over science: XX and XY chromosomes? That's ridiculous that she apologized to Khelif. I wonder how much money she was offered to do that?

I want to see Khelif vs Lin Yu-Ting. That would be a fair fight, if they are in the same weight category.

Even if they take the gold medal, there is no honour in that.

Just look at the arms, and you can see it is not a fair fight.

Just look at those solid muscles on their arms and they're obviously taller than other female boxers. Not to mention manly demeanors

Boxing has always been a sport where a lot of doubtful people roam around.

Funny thing is, When a 7 month old pregnant fencer was allowed to participate and when media asked IOC, how could they allow. The IOC asked the media to ask the eligibility question to Fencing Internation fed. Why not the same for boxing, when International boxing fed disqualified the 2 boxers, why did IOC allow??? Now they thought to take the decision in their own hands? BS.

So do the two dudes get to fight at the end for the gold? And stop calling him, her. There's no way you are going to convince me that dude was born a female.
