Algerian Olympic boxer Imane Khelif has broken her silence following the ongoing gender controversy surrounding the boxer.

The boxer spoke to SNTV, the sports video partner of The Associated Press, on Sunday.

Khelif revealed the criticism she has received over the misconceptions of her gender “harms human dignity”.

The Algerian has asked for the bullying to end, stating she has been greatly impacted by the backlash.

“I send a message to all the people of the world to uphold the Olympic principles and the Olympic Charter, to refrain from bullying all athletes, because this has effects, massive effects,” she said.

“It can destroy people, it can kill people’s thoughts, spirit and mind. It can divide people. And because of that, I ask them to refrain from bullying.”

What destroys human dignity is for a woman having to fight a man and then be told you have no right to complain..

Oh, so everyone's supposed to feel sorry for a guy that likes beating up women? Not falling into the woke trap.

I am 80 years old and it’s the first time in my life l have not watched the olympics. Making mockery of the last supper and men beating up women is the most disgraceful thing l have ever seen.

Do not affirm by calling him a she. It's so ironic as well that you don't see any trans men joining the men's teams.

He needs to stop hitting women….he knew he would have an advantage over women, but still went into boxing. I have no sympathy for him. He chose to go into a sport where he would have an advantage and win!! BS!!!! Women will no longer win any of their sports!! 😢😢😢 women need to refuse to play against them!!

I didn't see any "sensitivity and compassion" in the ring when HE beat the women... what a hypocrite!

I’m appalled that they allow men to beat on women. I will never watch or support the Olympics again. This is not right and we cannot keep supporting it, God help us all.

Khelif is the bully. Khelif should be disqualified and also Yu-ting should be disqualified. They are both biological males, look like males and fight like males. It is wrong to let them fight females

It’s not about bulling, it’s about fairness and common sense.
