The 1080ti is a legendary GPU. The very best consumer value ever produced by Nvidia.
GTX 1060 and 1070 ti and the 1080 ti
Absolute legend.

Secret most people don't know: GTX 1080 TI = same performance of the RTX 2080 minus the Ray tracing.

The 1080ti is the reason that no flagship card will ever be as comparatively good as the 1080ti. It's going to remain a decent card for another 5-8 years most likely, and having a decent card that stays relevant does not sell newer cards 😅

For a 5 year old card it performs amazingly.

When this card was brand new, the GTX 680 was 5 years old and I doubt people where that impressed with the GTX 680 at that time.

Managed to snag the exact card in November of 2020 with a Powerlink connector for around $450, awesome find!

Back in late 2018 I bought one of these FTW3's for around 550 usd and i was blown away by the performance, I wish we could go back to the days where the prices topped out at 700 USD MSRP lmao

1080Ti was such a beefcake of a card, 1000 series will be remembered fondly for a long time to come. Every card in that bracket had so much lasting power and offered amazing performance for the price

After "months" of screwing, your tool must be exhausted. 😆

I how quickly prices have come down. After Greg Salazar's video on $500 budget builds, I went through eBay, Amazon and NewEgg and somehow managed to squeeze a GTX 1080 into that budget. I noticed the 1080 Ti sells for $350 frequently now. That's crazy. Although I believe those specific models had some issues with VRM cooling and tend to blow up. So take good care of it!

The 1080ti is going to be one of those cards older gamers will still talk about in 10 years. If my 3090 ages half as well as the 1080ti has I'll be ecstatic.

"I hope GTX 1080 TI can run GTA V well"
Sir, i feel personally attacked by this sentence .

I've been saying this for the past like 2 months, used 1080ti's are a great option if you want a beast of a gpu without slinging leg and selling your organs

I have the exact model of 1080 ti, was in my build up till recently when I swapped it out with LTT's certified gamer program's 3080 ti. Gonna put it back in once I have a VFIO setup in order. A really good card even by today's standards.

Pascal really was like lightning in a bottle. It feels like the GTX 1080 Tie is immortal.

Impressive how well Pascal holds up 5 years later! Still rocking my 1070, hasn't skipped a beat.

Been there when you had just a few thousand subscribers, great to see the channel grow! Great content as usual, Dawid!

The 1080 Ti is aimed at 1440p gaming. Even today, it is a beastly card. I have the ASUS ROG Strix variant of the 1080 Ti and it is still capable of running modern titles well.

I had two different 1080Ti cards, both EVGA -- an SC2 and an FTW3. I'm sure there's people who disagree, but I REALLY liked the look of these particular GPUs.

I also miss that you could get flagship performance in a 2-slot cooler design. I get that TDPs have gone up, but it feels a bit excessive when 3060-class cards are getting 2.5 or 3 slot coolers.

Maybe it's the brute force nature of going bigger for more cooling vs more finesse and engineering to deliver a smaller cooler that still performs adequately.

I have this exact model. Been working flawlessly since I got it. The heat pads got a little gunky last year, which led it to making the card a bit sticky due to seepage. Cleaned it, and replaced all the thermals, and all is good. This thing is an absolute beast! Still great in 2022.
