Unironically, I have used the GTX 1080 since I upgraded my 980.

I dont have a 4k monitor, so no need for 4k, thus I can max the games I enjoy and run them at 60 to 75 fps easily.

GTA5, Destiny2, and all kinds of steam games.

Some say the 1080 is the GOAT. It's a great GPU. Nvidia stopped manufacturing the chips over 5 years ago. In the US on Ebay, for $100 to to $140 you can easily get RTX 2060's that perform the same, have 12 GB VRAM and a manufacture date no older than 2 years 8 moths ago. Odds are the 1080 you purchase will be much older and a 2060 will last much longer.It's worth considering.

I've been sticking to old mid last gen gpu's for a while, went from rx 570 to 1070 to 3060ti, works for me, ill buy a 4080 super for 300 dollars in 5 years.

I got this as a wedding gift from my wife in 2016…I feel like this has been one of the longer lasting quality gpus in a long time. I still have been able to play anything with zero issues.

I still use my old GTX 1080 EVGA FTW as my 2nd support gpu for my other displays in my pc. EVGA was awesome back then.

One of my friends got one of these 1080s (asus rog strix to be exact) for about $80 and they're readily available at a local shop

Great card! Just this exact model for 80 euros to my second setup. Thermal paste change and this card offers great fps/value and absolutely no noise from the fans and keeps very cool.

I was at first dissapointed in my recent GTX1080 purchase since Fortnite was only getting 20-40 FPS, but it turned out to be a wierd bug where you can press the Windows key and then click fortnite in the task bar and the FPS would jump up to 120 or more(my frame limit was set to 120). I kinda knew something was up since the GPU was only showing 18 percent usage in task manager.

I got a 1660 Super NIB for $20 more, mainly because the 1080 is older, buf the 1080 is still awesome. Glad to see it get some love!
