It's amazing how deep the bible is with just a single verse and many ways to interpret depending on whom reads, we barely scratched the surface with it too.

We are made in His image and likeness. We are becoming the fullness of Him. This will not be in time, but in eternity. We will always be creation and not the Creator. We will Be like Him in kindness, forgiveness, gentleness, love, joy, peace and patience. These things are the fullness of Him ; the Christ. His people on earth are in a process of sanctification where we choose this fullness. We will never outdo the Creator. ❤

important to note that the "g" in "god's" is a "lowercase g", so there are human judges but there is still one Judge.

Ah, "gods" is just a title, or term, and does not refer to us being "Gods" at all. Very helpful video.

This one was very helpful. I have heard many sermons and read many commentaries, but this brought the clarity I was in need of.

This is the correct answer, unfortunately this does not clear the issue of Blasphemy.

According to some cults they want to say that we’re equal to God.

For Mormons, it doesn't matter what the Bible says because they think it is corrupt. For them, it comes down to a feeling, a "burning in the bosom, " which is entirely subjective. The Bible explicitly warns against this kind of subjectivity in Jeremiah 17:9, and Paul explicitly warned against a new/different "gospel" in Galatians 1:8-9. But since Mormons defer to their feeling instead of what God has said in the Bible, they disregard the Word of God. It's very sad and tragic.

God has a Heavenly counsel they are the sons of God (spiritual beings) He (God) made them before He created us, before He created the earth.

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:4‭-‬7 ESV

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the Lord.
Job 2:1 ESV

Psalm 83 talking about His heavenly council, His heavenly Host, the sons of God.

Clearly the Bible tells you he said man is made in my image, Jesus spoke for you would do greater things in the end times, Yee are God's. Study the seat of the soul, . Clearly we are manifestors written and spoken into existence the same power image, one must crucify his flesh sacrificing the desires there of! It's the real teachings of yah❤

These are definitely not human judges, they are supernatural beings. Psalm 89 places these elohim in the skies. I haven't seen Jewish elders up there. In john, Jesus is quoting psalm 82 not referring to the group he was speaking to as "you". See Michael Heiser's work on this connection. It makes perfect sense

Tat Tvam Asi (That Thou Art) is also a Vedantic concept.

In psalms 82 the gods it is referring to is the gods of other nations. In Deuteronomy chapter32:8-9 it talks about the most high dividing up the nations and Israel is the lords inheritance. In the New Testament with Jesus quoting psalms 82 interpreting the gods as human judges is a later reinterpretation of the passage
