Why Was Jesus Baptized? | Derek Prince

It's a famous scene with which we're all familiair with: Jesus being baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan river. But are we also familiair with the deeper meaning of this? Did Jesus really need to be baptized? And what exactly happend there in that river?

What does Fulfillment of all Righteousness mean? Anybody please answer me. The word righteousness used here is not right standing with God. Please check the Hebrew word for that righteousness.

Jesus was baptized because:-
1. He was showing us what we should do.
2. This was God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit all together.
3. He was showing us what was going to happen to him. He was showing himself dying - when he went under the water, buried - when he was under the water and rising again - when he came back up.
