It's time to talk more specifically about pulling Qingyi. This is an opinion focused video, if you think I'm wrong, that's ok, we can discuss in the comments below. If you're still on the fence about Qingyi this video will give you some food for thought.

Qingyi's core passive activates as long as there's an Attacker in the party, so she'd be a good Stunner for Ellen or any other party that doesn't need Anomalies. You need two parties for Shiyu Defense and you only have one Anby to go around. Not everyone has Lycaon or Koleda either.

I think we won't be getting another 5 star stunner soon since fire and ice already has one. So the ones missing are ether and physical stunner, but judging from hoyo's drip market, caesar is coming and possibly miyabi too. And it'll be a long wait until then, so investing early on qinyi is also a good option.

Anyone else getting Furina beta deja vu? People downplaying the gargantuan damage boost they give because the 4 star does something slightly better (hydro application with XQ and Stun speed with Anby)

I really cant stress how bonkers a nearly unconditional 80% stun multiplier.

I'm definitely still getting her for the simple reason of not being able to clear S on Shiyu Defense due to not having a Stun unit on my 2nd team. The end game has certainly showed me the value of Stun units in a team comp. For the most part, I plan my future pulls based on my current team comp needs... at least as I build up my main 2 teams. Once the foundations are established, then and only then do I pull on characters that I personally like, design-wise or kit-wise, and/or start pulling on new characters that introduce a new meta into the game's systems, similar to how HSR slowly introduced new metas like DoT, FUA, Super Break

Zhu Yuan team is easily clearing stuff just with Anby/Nicole, and my Koleda stuns everything in 2 hits usually. I need a second DPS, not a third stunner, and I think a lot of people are in that boat.

Anton, you're fun but you can't deal the damage fast enough.

I think it's better to wait until her release and see how she performs before making your decision.

Qingyi's values lie on how her Stun combo is more comfortable than Anby (Anby 3rd hit can be easily interrupted), she can buff your Attacker's DMG with extra 80% Daze multiplier, and she will fit right in your 2nd Shiyu team especially if you don't have Lycaon/Koleda.

For example, as someone who has S-ranked Shiyu 17, I recommend focusing on your 2 main teams (mine is Ellen/Zhu Yuan), so you can comfortably S-ranked the following Shiyu rotations. From a first look at her early access kit and the recent changes, Qingyi will further buff my Zhu Yuan team (Zhu Yuan - Qingyi - Nicole), which is good for me. Also knowing how she only requires an Attacker to trigger her Skills, means that I can use her with future DPS.

Of course, I also saw teams which didn't need Stunner and can still clear Shiyu with ease. Reaching IK50 and lv60 characters will also boost your DMG enough that you don't really need a Stunner. If you need a 2nd DPS or like a different type of team (such as Anomaly), you don't really need to pull Qingyi.

Overall, it depends on your goals with your account. Personally, I believe her role as a Stunner + Buffer makes her a pretty worth pulling unit before version 2.0.

As someone still stuck with anby has my ONLY STUNNER. I might genuinely try to pull for her because she just seems cool

as of right now qingyi, as a polivalent stunner is better than any specialiced stuner such as lycaon, so telling people to skip her because amby is better is stupid.

By the way, they didn't give her a stuner buff, as a stuner they just moved the multipliers to make her easier to use, the difference in stun compared to before the change is minimal. They only made her easier to use by buffing her basic attacks and nerfing her counterattacks. What they did clearly was a buff to her value as a damage amplifier (60--->80%), which Amby has 0 of.
And just in case someone comes to tell me that I am an Amby hatter, I like the character and I use her regularly and I plan to continue using her after getting Qingyi, after all we need 2 teams.

I see a lot of people praising how great qingyi is and then saying she's mid and they're skipping her. It's annoying. Either she's a good character or not. If people blew all their pulls from Zhu Yuan just say so.

I hear you fully, and i just wanna say im going to utilize corin as a main dps, and with qingyi's insane stun dmg multiplier corin will be able to shine B). (note: i would just use Lycaon buuuut he's locked to my ellen team so i cant use lycaon twice rip) Will be running Qingyi, Rina, Corin

I have to disagree with you here. In my opinion, if you have only one stunner, grabbing second one will be greater improvment to your account than grabbing dps or support. Qingyi can be run with any attacker and provide additional value in greatly increased stun multiplayer. Yes, she stuns slower than Anby, but since she is more forgiving as you can dodge and not interrupt her combo unlike Anby who lose a ot value if you have to dodge out of her.

Her element doesn't matter that much, since Hoyo seems to be going away with element/faction requirements for passives in new units. At least for now.

So yeah, imo she is great investment - unless you already have two stunners. I think it's similar situation to preservation/abudance characters in HSR. If you dont have two of the premium ones, getting them is high proirity. If you do, then you wont need to worry about getting new one for a very long time.

I used Anby a lot, I have her at C5 with a very well invested build.
Then I got Qingyi, mostly for my second team since she is not restricted to electro resonance like Anby.

Holy crap, she stuns so much faster than Anby, like a lot faster.
Also, having easy acess to heavy attack to trigger chain attack is so nice.
With Anby, you need to wait for her last combo or ex skill.
One thing that people often miss, Qingyi AOE is huge. She also has like pseudo pulling effect to group enemies.

I know she will be better than Anby, but I honestly didn't expect her to be this much better than Anby.

My only regret is that Anby isn't in the same banner of Qing Yi since I love them both and I still got no secondary stunner unit, so she's a-go for me.

At least with the coin flip, I get a chance to have stunner for 3 out of 7 S rank from the usual 2 and any other spook is also fine for me! (hopefully not dupe is all I wished)

Still, I also like to add that Stun & Atk is not end-all-be-all in this game. They also give you another option to deal damage with status effect by either mono element or overlapped them with others to cause Disorder, which is surprisingly viable as it allow you to build things in more static way rather than chance based around the critical stuff, and I think Jane Doe would probably introduce us to that aspect soon enough.

Altho due to its new aspect, as a player, I also mostly used to the core mechanic of Beat'em up and Knock'em down rather than burning their flesh right of the bone, I sure feels more comfortable with old school style than the anomaly way.
