I just noticed Tales of the Empire uses the Clone Wars artstyle. So sureal seeing Grand Inquisotor and Vader in that artstyle (Vader a second time.)

They definitely felt each other’s presence. Barriss Offee probably had a feeling of “I feel like I’ve had an encounter with him before..” While Vader is thinking “… I know you.”

From my POV I wonder if Vader was silently begging her to resist and try to escape so he could have justifiable reason to execute her on the spot… Remember that Vader rarely kills just because he feels like it.

Edit: Vader doesn’t kill Imperial officers for fun… it isn’t hockey.. he kills them when they piss him off

I've always found it funny that Anakin is barely older than Barriss and she was at the academy much longer

But every time she does something, he's just way ahead of her. First to be a knight, better at betraying the republic, beat her in a fight, now she's his absolute dogbody servant. Poor girl was exceptional but ended up in the same class as the chosen one and he always reminds her he's better lol

Whats crazy to realize is Anakin/Vader and Bariss are about the same age. Both fought in the battle of Geonosis (only padawans to survive as well). Yet here they are yet again as Darth Lord and Inquisitor.... From the same Jedi padawan class to the same side of the Force and both seeing redemption later on in life.

I feel like Disney knew that us fans waited for over a decade to find out if Vader ever encountered Barriss after order 66, and such an encounter would be a MUST SEE event. And the fact that it finally happened in animation, only for Vader to not even acknowledge her and the scene Like was this them being like SIKE HAHAHA cuz I’m not amused

That is Marrok and not 8th Brother, which at this time he would have been using his Inquisitor name. Also one of the inquisitors is the one Ahsoka kills on the farm.
