IN tales of the empire, why did barriss offee ultimately choose the path of a jedi again.

Many people were expecting to see barriss offee embrace her role as an inquisitor in tales of the empire. The last we saw her, she bombed the jedi temple and framed ahsoka for it. So many people thought she was very much ready to embrace the darkside.

Tales of the empire episode 3-6 focused on Barriss Offee after she was found guilty for her attack on the Jedi Temple. She survived order 66 and was given the chance to be an inquisitor. Then became a Force Healer instead.

Bringing The Mandalorian and Grogu, AKA Baby Yoda, to the big screen might be the best decision from Disney Star Wars in years. Will there still be a season 4 of the Mandalorian? How much will these projects tie into each other? Dave Filoni’s earlier announced film, is thought to be an adaptation of Heir To The Empire, or at least the final chapter. Will Ahsoka Season 2, and the Mandalorian movie and Filoni's movie be very well connected?

Barriss weilding Ventress's lightsabers: "I think they suit me."
Barriss with a red bladed lightsaber of her own: "I hate it."

*Barriss gives speech on her temple bombing* “cool motive, still murder”

People who thought Barris would become evil, embraces the dark side etc. didn‘t understand her arc and character (motivations),

It always made sense she'd be redeemed. She was very out of character when she was trying to bomb the temple, especially compared to her Legends counterpart where she even had a padawan of her own, a Selonian called Zonder, before she died in Order 66.

Tales of the empire simply wasn’t the right format to finish her story. The other tales were about characters who’s fate we mostly knew, and the tales explained where they came from and what made them into the people we already know. But with Barriss they tried instead to tell us about the character’s future and craft an entire character and story arc, and 3 short episodes isn’t enough time to do it well. They should have shown her past and what led her to decide to bomb the temple. That would have been interesting, it just wouldn’t have had much to do with the Empire.

Many people criticize Barris yet forgot that Anakin killed younglings, his best friend and his pregnant wife. Before he murdered an entire Tucker village which was filled with innocence such as children, women and even the men who weren’t part of the raid. After, Darth Vader tortured and massacred people right after. The war changed many Jedi that it actually proved Barris correct. Looked at Pon Krell. I bet he used to be a decent man with four arms, now he became the ultimate bay blade. Dooku turned to the dark side due to the republics corruption, and so much more. Barris saw so much death that when she made that plan, death was never a factor since she was taught it’s ok to accept it. This should teach you that the Jedi in many ways, encouraged this mindset. If the Jedi did want the war to end, they should’ve done more instead of letting themselves be told what to do by a corrupt senate.

I liked her story a lot. But it was way to short, the ending could have been done different. She could have gone hurt in a different way, instead if stabbing.

Barris Offee I think has turned into a Grey Jedi. Using both the light and the dark side of the force.

When I first seen Barriss in TCW, which was after I watched Rebels, I thought that Barriss is Seventh Sister.

Is comprensible this way, the objetive always was showing how the disappointment will haunt her.

Next to Dooku, Vader and Kylo she serves as a cautionary tale - just because you do not agree with someone, that does not mean the alternative MUST be better, in fact it can be MUCH WORSE.

She was right but for the wrong reasons and tried to resolve it the wrong way

Bariss was delusional on the war. No excuse bombing

Well to be fair, people did fail to see her reasoning. She was still cast out. She had a reason to not forgive the Jedi. It could’ve made sense for her to choose a dark path.

I was really hoping she was the seventh sister but I guess we know what happened in the end now I'm just more confused

It doesn’t help that Barriss was also part of a race that, I kid you not, was allowed by the order to only train their own kind, and carry their customs with them. As archaic as their view of the force is.

But it was weird that she looked like she didn't know where she was or doing when she joined the empire. It just felt weird. Like they didn't explain to her much that the sith have won and the dark side is the new and the only path to choose for.

Barriss' fall to the Dark Side was due to her disillusionment with the Jedi Order. She accused them of being warmongers and tyrants, and she resented them for it. Then she got pressed into the Inquisition and saw what real tyranny was. The Empire was exactly what Barriss thought the Jedi were, and she slowly realized her terrible mistake. For all her contemptible deeds at the end of Clone Wars, Barriss never believed in oppressing innocent people.
