Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) = Narcissistic Personality Disorder NPD

Attachment disorder and personality disorder... specifically attachment disorder and narcissistic personality disorder... is there a connection? Is Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) basically "grown" Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD)? Did adults with Narcissism or Borderline have attachment struggles as a child? One characteristic of both childhood attachment and personality disorders in adulthood is the charm vs attack. This can happen due to splitting, or black and white thinking, or what we might call "Jekyll and Hyde."

Thank you for this video. I'm trying to figure out a spouse with NPD. The NPD is clear, and has taken a long time for me to understand it, but this also gives me the reason, or foundation, for her personality. She, and her siblings, were abandoned at a very young age. All are extremely charming, but see people in "black or white" terms, never any gray area. Those of us who have been discarded are left confused, and I don't like being confused. Thanks from a non-professional for helping me to understand a lot more about this personality.

Could a child (20 year old) with RAD, triangulate to the point of excluding and demonizing their adoptive mother because she wanted her to eat healthy due to the child's critical health condition? To the point where this child did the opposite and passed away?
