Hi. I’m 72 years old and started messing around with the bass guitar about six years ago. I have short little fingers compared to every bassist I have seen so far and was lazy about trying to learn to use it. I had surgery on my right wrist and elbow in 2019 and am just getting back to playing. I decided to do it right this time. I got my 5 string bass set up properly and started looking on YouTube for how to play scales. Your video on the C scale was the best beginner video I found. Thanks for getting me started properly. I’m 68 years old and have never played any string instrument. I am believing that you CAN teach old dogs new tricks. I got a bass and am learning. The red dots help tremendously! It’s physically difficult to move my fingers when fretting the notes, and I end up sliding around more using the fingers that work, but by His stripes I am healed!
