This is q very well prepared and performed presentation. But I think the popularity of excel is not beneficial at all.

In my opinion, it sucks compared to real tools like the python ecosystem or R.

And DO NOT store important data in excel. Store it in a real database. A lot of companies have a lot of trouble because their data is scattered excel spreadsheets instead of proper databases.

I guess it's convenient, but it's really dangerous to put important data workflows into excel . its probably fine for just doing something quick, but use real tools if what you're making could turn into an important data pipeline.

But if you know R or Python, excel is really not good for anything in my opinion. If you're going to be analysing data for a large part of your professional career, learn to use proper tools.
