REITs or Real Estate Investment Trusts are an affordable & convenient way of investing in real estate. Another good one Shankar! So I have invested in this Embassy REIT . So really liked the concept where an ordinary person like me can buy a small portion of a bunch of commercial rent generating properties and generate some rental income from these. I hope REITs do well in India, since this is still a new concept and we don't know how this instrument will do in the long run. For now all 3 only have dividend yields to keep investor happy since not much capital appreciation is seen in these, also the fluctuation in prices is quite high, I mean when we buy a property we don't kind of see the daily prices of that property and as you said even the REIT publishes a value once in 6 months. This creates arbitrage opportunities, quite sure😉.
