Exactly how i learned to cook rice. Tbh the rice cooker is so hard to get down from the cabinet and i dont have enough counter space to keep it there all the time so i prefer this way

The ratio of rice to water should be 1 to 1 if you’ve soaked your rice in cold water for 30 mins before using, or 1 to 1.5 if you haven’t!

I messed up and let my 6 and 7 year old try food from a couple of Thai girls who have had a food truck as long as I remember. Now they are hooked and I'm as white as the rice, in culinary skill and appearance. I'll give this a go because you look the part and that instills trust.

Quick question though, is sticky rice quite universal between Korea, Thailand, Vietnam etc or do they all have their own flare? I dont need to get them hooked on Korean food, I'm already poor and talentless.
