after breaking my arm as a late toddler, also close to my first memory, the nurse showed that it wouldn't cut me by putting it to her neck, I was more scared of the witch with the iron neck than I was the saw after that

I remember getting my first cast removed, i was scared so the doctor showed me it didn’t cut him, second cast removal, there was a kid screaming.. guess they didn’t get shown 😭🔫

I swear I was the weirdest kid growing up. When I was about 8, I had to get a cast on my arm removed with a saw, and I was so fascinated by it, that I literally giggled like an idiot and yelled “DO IT AGAIN!”

My parents won’t let me live it down…

When I got my cast off I was a bit scared of the saw as a friend told me it burnt them after a while. Had 0 experience with it and being a kid in grade 4, obviously I’d be a bit scared, but it was totally fine :) the guy doing it put the saw on my hand to show me it was okay and he even did a magic trick! Everyone who helped me out was super nice. Thanks guys, didn’t forget you!

I had a leg cast and I got super freaked out when I saw the cast saw when we could finally take it off. My parents literally had to hold me down and close my eyes 😂😂. Actually, when they opened it, there was a coin because I dropped a coin in my cast like 2 months before and I had a coin imprint on my skin lol

as someone who has gotten her leg cast removed, no it does not hurt but the amount of anxiety you feel 😭

My siblings and I have OI (brittle bone disease) and I have so many memories of the cast saw! Used to freak me out when I was little and the doctor would always text it on himself first to show me it couldn’t cut me.

I remember when I was about 4-5 I tripped over an LPS toy harassing my dog and broke my arm. Forgot which one. When I went to go get my hot pink cast off, the cast remover- with the most expressionless face- glided the razor over his hand a few times like all the other kid’s he’s dealt with were screaming crying at that blade.
