PrSM of #USArmy sets new range record !

According to an Oct. 14 Lockheed Martin statement, the U.S. Army’s Precision Strike Missile or PrSM broke its distance record in a flight test at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, Oct. 13,

Lockheed Martin and the U.S Army have conducted five consecutive successful flight tests.

The company did not disclose the distance the PrSM traveled in its flight test, but the goal of the test was to see exactly how far the missile can travel beyond its previous set requirement of 499 kilometers.

PrSM, with its moving target multi-mode seeker (able to target ships), could be distributed among dozens of small islands all over the SCS.

Range is expected to increase to 500 miles.

That, along with the USMCs ground-launched MSTs and NSMs, will make the SCS a graveyard for the Chinese navy.

PrSM was limited to 499 km due to several treaties now they are free to upgrade it back to it's original range. Russia wasn't playing by the rules now they ended that treaty and are building all the weapons that were shelved and limited.

Taiwan too should invest in about 2000 of these long range truck mounted missiles that can threaten a large chunk of Chinas coastal staging areas and radar sites, The PLA wont be in a hurry to invade when they know long range missile strikes could smoke their troops even before they boarded ships

There's an M142 unit that flew into northern Got land yesterday. The HIMARS cannot reach Kaliningrad without moving a significant distance to the south so I'm thinking the exercise might be PrSM related.

Russia looked like it was ahead because it was flagrantly disregarding arms control treaties. Two can play that game. It seems Putin forgot that the USSR has a history of losing arms races i.e Soviet Union 1980's. It's almost as if he forgot how much bigger the U.S is then Russia.

Why not just create an improved Pershing three missile based off the Pershing two, Russia has the Iskander missile which is the same as the Pershing II missile?
