Everyone is dumping on this, but getting a score victory is actually very difficult. Not only do you need to prevent the AI from getting a victory (someone will usually complete the space race in that time, a culture victory is probable, and in a long game it's inevitable that someone will get close to a diplomatic victory, and attempting to prevent that likely ends in you getting it yourself), but you have to make sure you don't accidentally win through culture or diplomacy yourself.

One of few victory types I had to just come and watch because I know I'll never play in a way where the game just runs out of turns.

Once. Maori on a map that loved to Flood, with Norway as neighbors and my understanding of empire-wide Combat Power being very basic. Nothing quite like everyone bogged down in war against one another, while natural disaster beat your ass, to slow progress to a quagmire.

Fun fact: you can set turn limit to 1 and play Trajan to guarantee a score victory. Although skyscrapers when your city only has a palace and a monument is quite weird🤔🤔
