They quietly upgraded the memory from 32GB to 64GB which is welcome to anyone storing a large music library on board. Maybe some other use cases for more memory also like offline maps.

I started with the series 2 back in 2016 and kept it until 2022 when I bought the series 8 and then a few days ago I got the ultra 2. main reason is that I scuba dive and instead of using my other cressi dive watch which is huge and clunky I now got the nice ultra 2 with the oceanic app. Absolutely love it so far. I also workout every day so I also use it for that and hiking as well.

3000 nits would be ideal on outdoor activities where you don't have to bring your phone all the time. 2000 nits is fine however it could still be pretty hard reading tiny texts notifications on direct sunlight.

I would say it’s not worth it to upgrade from an Ultra 1, but it is otherwise a fine purchase. The Ultra 1 is an incredibly solid watch. While the Ultra 2 doesn’t build upon that in a significant way, that doesn’t change its existing merits. I was not expecting them to release anything related to the Ultra for at least another year anyways.

I wanted the screen to be a bit brighter when I was diving and I also wanted it to be a bit faster when performing certain actions when tracking specific workouts such as rock climbing. So this is something I see as a pretty great upgrade in terms of performance. I wasn’t looking for anything other than a boost to functionality. Maybe a glucose sensor is one thing I wish they had?

I upgraded to the ultra 2 from my series 3… so realistically it was a huge upgrade for me. If you already have the ultra 1 it’s not a big upgrade sure, but I love it coming from an older version of the watch!

I bought the S7 in 2022 & I surf a lot. I rinse it right after I get out of the water & it worked great until it didn’t. I lost the sound. I wasn’t able to hear people talking to me from my watch, but they could hear me. Since I lost the sound, I was unable to use the sound to remove the water from the speaker.
The Ultra 2 is going to be my next purchase for what I do. Playing in the ocean & working out.

I bought one of the new black Ultra Watch 2s, and I absolutely love it. It's a huge upgrade from the series 8, super durable, cellular, Sapphire crystal, way longer battery life, love the night red.

The on device Siri is kind of bigger than we think. I almost only use Siri with my apple watch. So that better reactivity will be really noticeable, more than you think.

Add the better processor and the kick double touch.
It will fell really reactive.

P.S. Double touch is out of accessibility on this watch, cause it can handle it faster in a more natural way.
