I got this new piece called “clarinets packing up early” and in some parts of the song (not all at once throughout it tho) I have to take off my bell, my lower joint, my upper joint, and at measure 87 we get to play with our mouthpiece and our barrel and then at the end we slam our clarinet cases shut!

Awesome my dear Spencer!! You sure do have a long action-packed day. How you keep going is beyond me hun. Just want to share that I had another wonderful oboe practice this morning, really adoring my new Howarth S20 oboe which my lovely hubby bought me a month ago. Also my dear friend, Ronnie, at our concert band where I play flute has given me a new oboe reed which doesn't need soaking, you just dip in in luke warm water in the little water pot, shake it out to get rid of excess water and play. It crows a C perfectly first time, and I've had the most absolutely amazing time playing new classical pieces on my oboe today, learning how to do trills!! I'm playing oboe in church tomorrow morning again, mega excited about that too!! I've got my lesson on Monday morning, and then my Dad's coming round to listen to my playing, so much to practice and enjoy!!! My heart is so full of joy with this gorgeous new instrument, just wish I'd taken it up decades ago!!!! Have a lovely weekend hun, and I look forward to more fabulous videos of your life at music college and your beautiful playing. You have such an incredible talent, Spencer, you are indeed a real inspiration to me. God bless you lots hun. XXX

LOVE WATCHING YOU! I’m the only oboe in my entire school….and I had a green threaded reed one time and now they say I play a piece of grass and it’s just really fun! Fun fact for my first year ever playing I have a broken oboe for my first three quarters of school and almost quit, but I didn’t and got into honor band(first oboe) my schools wind ensemble and I got into high school marching band as a middle schooler! You always encourage me to practice more so thank you!
