IF YOU TRIED ANYTHING BUT DIDNT WORK, REMEMBER TO ENABLE MOB GRIEFING. VILLAGERS CANT PICK UP OR DESTROY CROP IF ITS DISABLED.
edit: apperently im a savior ahah

For anyone who had trouble with getting the villagers to spawn kids. Don’t have any blocks (or more beds) above their beds. Fill up their inventory with crops or bread (except wheat). Put more beds around. Also make sure the amount of beds is more than the amount of villagers. (EX if there’s 10 villagers already you need more than 10 beds if you want them to spawn more) will fix them not spawning.

For anyone having trouble getting this to work like I did:
If your villagers start breeding and show heart particles but then stop with angry particles, that means they have enough food but cannot find a valid bed. They must be able to find a path to the bed and there must be at least 2 blocks of air above it.
For some reason, if you put any block above the upper trapdoor (the one used to keep the adult villagers in and let the babies out), the villagers usually can't find a path to the bed for the purposes of breeding. I had a glass block above it and spent HOURS trying to figure out the issue (and even decompiled the Minecraft source code to double-check the wiki) before figuring out that block was the problem.
If that doesn't fix it try breaking and replacing the beds or just adding more of them.

i had this idea where i lead the rails to a new workstation, i choose a babies fate, right out of the womb, to the rails, to a station, and theyll grow up to learn what theyre made for

why are you guys liking this, this is beyond ridiculous

HEY GUYS!! Just a tip. they have to be able to SEE the beds. i built the box around the farm out of cobble and couldn't figure out how to make them start spawning. i finally replaced the blocks around the beds with glass so they could see them and it instantly spawned a baby. Thanks for the design!

Make sure to add a slab or a light source block on top of the composter so the villagers don’t trample the crops which lowers the rate of baby villagers

Great video, my villagers are breeding and ready to be placed inside 1x2 spaces for the rest of their lives, thanks!

So at 4:55 you mention putting a button there to make the rail and dispenser activate, but I noticed that doing it this way only activates the rail and not the dispenser. In order to activate both, I placed the button directly above the dispenser. Hopefully this info helps someone lol

Great design! This works really well.
For anyone whose minecarts aren't grabbing the villagers, try replacing the block with a slab, on the lower half of the block, that worked for me!

For all those having issues with it not pulling a villager into a minecart, put a slab on the lower portion of that block instead of a full block.

Work's perfectly for me now, thanks for the short informational video!

Works great! If you have a wool farm then then you can easily make many more beds and give the farm a significantly higher chance of breeding to be successful.

I Subbed and liked! I really needed this after my mending villager died to a skeleton! Keep on the good work!

works so well, but make sure to add a slab on top of the composter and regularly fill their inventory with bread as well as expanding the bed section horizontally so they can breed more :)

Instead of pulling in the villager by using a job block, you can use a boat and attach a lead (you can get one by killing a Wandering Trader or his llamas) to it, and it's much faster

There's a key step missing here. You need to dig down one block where you place the signs otherwise the baby gets out and gets stuck in the rail area. If you dig a block down when it grows to 2 blocks tall the water will grab the villager.. Even then they still seem to get out sometimes. If an adult villager is in the water holding area first it will block them from getting in the rail area.

Babies are not jumping through the hole, they stay in the farm and grow...

Works perfectly! Make sure not to use activator rails. They look similar to powered rails! That was the reason for my minecart not picking up the villager.
