Madman Fails at knocking down Silo!

Our first effort failed to fall over, so we used a John Deere 4760 to assist in pulling silo down.

After that fail, a REAL madman would climb up the ladder to prove he’s a REAL madman.

We knocked down 2 silos twice that day. Both silos did the same thing.

At least half of those steel belts should have been removed. They built a strong ring structure which won't break as easily. Now it's a job for a large excavator.

Almost fun-fact: Silos went out of fashion for storing ensilage (or "silage") in favour of clamps in the 1970s or so, then it moved on to plastic-wrapped round-bales. But it's still called "ensilage".

That was a good silo, now you’ve got a mess to clean up! I remember working on a farm, cows loved silage I guess because some of it would ferment making alcohol and give them a buzz!
