What I like in your video is that you don't waste people's time. You go straight to the subject matter and you bring good stuff both to beginners and intermediate pianists like myself. Can't wait to become as good as you!!!

I'm not sitting in front of a keyboard at the moment, but am very glad to have found your tutorial and looking forward to practicing with this.

Masterful. You are combining so many techniques that are the essence of playing the piano.
Arpeggios with a steady beat in the left hand. Check.
Right hand arpeggio. Check.
Finger independence to create a melodic machine out of the right hand. Triple check.
That last technique is something I've struggled with, so this was a real wake-up call. A warm-up that might take me days, or weeks, or months to accomplish.
I'll devote the time and when I can achieve this, the possibilities really open up.
Merci beaucoup.
I've started doing Phillip's Exercises on the piano. The first exercise is a crazy variation on the 300 year old pianist challenge, and is great to play. However, I'm not able to understand the notation of number 2, 3 and 4. And I can't find anyone with a tutorial or playing these. Have you don't any videos on his exercises?

This lesson helps playing 'hands together' in a very melodic, slightly challenging set of exercises. Thanks.

Although it's only a short piece, it brings out the beauty of the piano. Good for you, Jazer.

This is excellent. Thanks for the reminder to rotate the wrists! For those of us who are self taught reminders on proper technique are so valuable.

Great lesson. I'm about two months into learning and was able to do challenge 3. I've really been struggling playing with both hands but for some reason this exercise just made it click for me. Really enjoyed this one.

I bought an old yamaha keyboard (i know its not a piano), during lockdown, not really done much with it until a few weeks ago, it sounded as if i was playing it with boxing gloves on. Left hand C major OK, right hand C major scale OK, put them together, bloody awful. Kept at it and now I can play C major scale. I never did music at all at school, i'm a 57 year old fart with arthritic knuckle joints, wee Jazer is brilliant !
Next mission G major scale

Great exercise! It’s a bit challenging for those of us with small hands doing the thumb-pinky reach this requires, but it is possible and really helps stretch your muscles and tendons. One suggestion: You did a great job pointing out and naming the keys for the right hand, but you just charged ahead playing the left hand four chord progressions without first stopping and pointing out the keys you’re hitting for each chord progression. I had to go back numerous times in this video to play a section again before I figured it out. Love the exercise once I got through it once. You might also point out that the left hand is easier if you make sure you maintain the finger spread as you move up and down the keyboard - that really helps hit the right keys on the first try.

This is really tough for my old, arthritic hands, but I really love how it sounds and am going to work on getting it down.

I'm a beginner and I tried your tutorial for few mins after watching this video. Actually I was really mind blown when I tried challenge #3. I have never felt so satisfied while practicing an exercise. You're a genius. Hope I could use this channel as a stepping stone. Thank you so much🙂

That exercise sounds really beautiful, can’t wait to try it. I often watch your videos when I’m unable to play but they always make me want to sit and play as soon as possible. Keep up the great videos. Thank you.

Wow. I feel I’ve gained so much from watching a few of your videos. for a while I’ve played songs with chords and singing along; or playing songs I knew how to play the sheet music. I decided this year to brush up on basics so I can play more pieces. Your videos have given me tools to work on something each day. Thank you so much.

My 8 yrs old boy usually plays Hanon and scales to warm up. I showed him your video and he loves your warm up routines and said it's more fun. Yesterday he was able to complete all 4 challenges. Thank you.
