I believe him. I heard about what they tried to do to a man in Kentucky. He started crying and moving as they were preparing him to remove his organs. Thankfully the doctor refused to proceed with the surgery.

That man walked out of the hospital a couple of weeks later.

I have often wondered about this. Not that I don't think there's such a thing as brain death but sometimes I think they rush it because they're so anxious to get the organs. If it was my family member I think I would want to wait at least a month or a couple weeks and not do it like right away because I have read so many stories of people that were declared brain dead and then they ended up living. I don't know just my opinion.

I believe it and that is why I told my husband that I will respect after death organ donations but I will never sign off on him or our kids to be brain dead donors. They have anesthesia on the brain dead during the process! I am sorry if you need a new organ but I also don’t believe that we should be doing the living brain dead donations.

He is correct Oregon donation has become so lucrative and because of that in order for it to be more lucrative, the hospital doesn’t want to keep someone on so-called life-support because that cost millions of dollars for someone who may never get their bill paid so if they tell the family that the person is brain dead and they’re never gonna wake up again And basically guilt the family into letting them turn off so-called life-support and take the organs. You must understand that they already have a place for those organs to go. They’ve already done all the bloodwork that they need to do and they already know who that person has already been called if they’re not already in the hospital And to get ready that they have whichever they need and the other side of that coin 65% go to people who are younger under the age of 40 anyone over the age of 40 and for various other reasons get put further down the transplant list it is all about moneyand it’s disgusting these major hospitals people who are pulling the strings aren’t doctors there administrators they’re in to make their money so that they make money and it’s utterly disgusting

Even if someone is a registered donor does not mean their organs can be donated. There are rules. If someone was in prison in the last 5 years, they can’t donate, if they used intravenous drugs, they can’t donate, gay people can’t donate, etc, so to say that they just want to steal organs from anyone is not true.

Sure, sometimes the decision can be rushed, but the way he describes it is most definitely not what's going on
