All families are screwed up in one way or another. Some people just assume money and prestige will make a family immune. Not so much.

The stuff about Harry believing for years that Diana had faked her death & would someday send for him is heartbreaking.

It doesn't matter what is true or what isn't. This entire situation is just sad. I hope that they can find peace with the truth and just move on.

Anyone ever wonder how things would have played out if the institution had let Charles marry Camila, bc he loves her, and not be “forced” to marry Diana bc she fit the mold?!

The fact that even he believed those conspiracy theories about his mom, but for a much different reason is heartbreaking.

My heart dropped when he quoted, "I was brought into this world in case they lost Willy." How disrespectful to his mother to say she bore him with anything but love.

Henry VIII was the spare (his older brother died young in an accident). Henry VIII was the one who had six wives, one way or another. King George VI, Queen Elizabeth’s father, was the spare also. Probably many more…

The most shocking thing in his book is the awful way he and everyone around has been treated by the press. Obviously none of the newspapers pick up on that.

Nothing that Harry said is shocking. After Megxit and the Oprah interview, nothing surprises me anymore.

I think he has the right to share all that he went through in his life, you know, growing up as someone who lived in the limelight, the rumours about his dad's affair and his mom's death at such a young age. All this things affected him and this book feels more like an attempt to share all that he went through and maybe to understand why he did what he did and how he felt throughout those experiences rather than trying to grab attention. I feel like after having so many many people give false narratives of his story or misinforming people about his experiences at least now he's taking a step to control the narrative and at least share his point of view of the story to anyone who's trying or even willing to listen. To anyone who's saying that he should not be bad mouthing the family and this is not a good or healthy way to heal, but I feel like everyone chooses the way they want to heal. And he has every right to share his story and if you're so disinterested in it or if you don't feel OK with it then just maybe don't read it. You have a choice not to read it. That's all you have to do. But I don't think he's doing anything wrong in trying to share his narrative of the incidents that he has gone through.

It's sad how people automatically dismiss abuse, Anytime someone comes forward from an abusive family that's beloved it's like fighting a storm in high seas
Speaking your truth when the wind tries to take your words/voice is daunting and exhausting whether you're from a regular family, a celebrity family or the royal family

Think there’s no way of reconciling with the family, because how can they trust he won’t do an interview about it 🤷🏼‍♀️

I totally understand when he thought his mother faked her death and would one day send for him, I thought the same way about my dad for years.

Charles expressed disappointment that Harry was a boy. Charles wanted a girl. How about being happy that you had a healthy child? Disgusting.

The “moto” is to keep the private conversation between the royals private and not put in the media for public debate.

It is sad to see those two bothers apart. They were so together in childhood. Their mom must be so sad.

Just to take one ridiculous charge, the book and this video act like King Charles invented the phrase "a spare."
The phrase only goes back in Royal circles about a thousand years
The OG Queen Elizabeth I came to the throne because both the heir and the spare died

I feel really sorry for them for losing their Mum so young. I'm 35 and my Mum recently passed away and that's awful enough but it makes me grateful to have had her for as long as I did. Poor little boys. Oh well
