You accept things as they are, not as you wish they were in this moment. This is important to understand. You can wish for things in the future to be different, but in this moment you have to accept things as they are.

I'm confused about some things ..is being aware of awareness the same as mindfulness?
Also, when meditating, do I have to be aware of my breath and let the thoughts pass? Or do I have to be aware of me being aware of my breath?
And lastly, am I one with the breath during meditation? Or is the breath one with the thoughts and I'm just observing both?
Edit-Do we reach meditative awareness of thoughts through normal awareness of the breath(if we are using breath as an anchor)??
