The Indo-China war of 1962 was directly responsible for Indo-Pakistan war of 1965. Because India's dismal performance in 1962 made Pakistani military High Command very confident that they can take on India in Kashmir. And Hence they started operation Gibraltar in 65. However, their assessments proved to be incorrect.

You missed the most important impact. In 1962, India was the leader of the Non Aligned Movement, the third camp not ally with the Soviet Union or the United States. However, during the war, India requested assistance from the Soviet Union and the United States. This made members of the Non Aligned Movement to no longer believe in India. Now the Non Aligned Movement has 120 member states, accounting for two-thirds of the United Nations seats, and they also remember how India violated the Non Aligned Declaration. Think about how much impact this has on India's diplomacy.

Thing about being former subjects of the British is that those subjects tend to view themselves in a better light than if they'd never been subjects. It was with this arrogance that India sought press the Chinese on the border with the Forward Policy. The Chinese were willing to leave good enough alone but they couldn't countenance a creeping Indian advance. After very clear warnings were given, the Chinese went in and pushed the Indians back to the line of actual control. This video has a misleading title. There was no invasion. There was a short, brief war and then it ended.

Tibet is under the rule of Qing Dynasty and they can sign away the lland without approval? Btw, if u looked at map of India from India or British from 1805, about the time British took India, Assam, Nagaland, the whole area were never part of India. India stole a lot of land from China and Burma.

Among the younger generation in China, the impression of the war is not particularly deep. The feeling among the people is more like having a neighbor who is greedy and thin-skinned, lacking the strength and always trying to steal from our house. After a simple beating, they hold a grudge until today. The younger generation in China has a more profound impression of the Korean War with the United States.
Moreover, it is unreasonable to define China's action as an invasion just because the Chinese troops crossed the line drawn by the British. Since its independence, India has gained confidence by annexing weak principalities and neighboring countries with mismatched strength. China was only the one who burst its illusionary soap bubble.
