i was stuck on that tensen general dude right before this and decided to just skip past him and see what was up ahead. read the warning on that little shack, went into the cave, peered over the edge and saw the glow of his sword and just noped my way right the hell on back to the general.

Saw the note, thought "Fuck em, I'm a ninja." Saw the guy down in the cave, jumped down there all wide eyed and innocent, excited for another cool sword fight. Then he started sashaying over to me like a dancer and the creepy ass music kicked it. Needless to say my playstation was no longer plugged in to a power source or my TV and my ass was watching cartoons for the rest of the night.

I love how otherworldly this boss moves. Fromsoft had a lot of practice with dark souls and bloodborne. I hope there are more secret, off the beaten path ghost/demon bosses.

If your having trouble with headless, just wait until your farther along. High attack power and vitality make it a pretty easy fight and by the time you get to a certain point in the game, you can buy confetti ad infinitum.

Divine confetti has a chance to drop from Blue Samurai near the Upper Tower - Antechamber Sculptor's Idol located in Ashina Castle..It says this in the wiki...hope it helps!

instead of deflecting you can use the lilac umbrella upgrade to avoid terror buildup plus with the right skill you can use it as an attack with confetti properties. can do the whole fight like this. just try to avoid his grab.

I jumped right next to it, and was expecting it to not attack me cause that's what you said, but guess what. He immediately swung his sword and killed me in two hits.

If you are like me and got pissed at not being able to kill Headless after numerous tries due to Terror buildup, fret not. He’s not a key boss which means that you will still be able to progress without him being a part of the story. So continue doing the storyline till you get to a place called Mibu Village, where there’s a merchant who sells a new type of Gourd that prevents Terror from building up instantly after being hit twice. It costs 1800 sen, but the positive is that you can refill it when resting and it’s a perfect replacement for passifying agent as it removes the proc and builds resistance

Awesome looking boss and everything, but really dumb mechanics to face him. Really?! You already need to use two items during the fight against him and low and behold he slows you down and terror is applying all the while and divine confetti is hard to come by so you have to farm to attempt to beat this guy. At that point Miyazaki is just trying to piss people off and that’s it. Lol

I fount this boss way later on and died instantly.. when I realised he is at the very start I though, how hard could it be? it's at the very start of the game..
