Let's not forget, Nvidia has a new string to pull. They'll "maybe" give us 10GB or 12GB VRAM, but they'll cut the bus width in half so it hardly matters.

tbh not really bothered by 8gb vram, it was more of a 30 series problem. The only gpu with 8gb from 40 series can barely run alan wake 2 on low 1080p, I'm more bothered with how much they gatekeep 16gb vram, before 4070 tIE sUPer it was locked behind $1k+, when realistically i would want that on a 500$ card

The 8gb isn't even the biggest problem with the vram

The biggest problem is that 8gb is entry, so it's ok on a 3050 or a 7600 as entry, but i don't remember entry costing even close to 300$... And i don't remember cards several tiers above just straight up having the exact same amount of vram, not too mention some of the worst generational improvements in decades, especially at times when vram is super cheap to produce...
