Who doesn't like the sound of their voice 😫 ✋

Please be kind to yourself... remember that how others hear you and see you (reception) is different to how you hear and see yourself (perception).

If you want to improve the way you sound, it does require you to first calibrate your reception and perception, otherwise you'll never be comfortable with how you sound, and you won't make the move to improve it.

Plus, most people around you don't hate the way you sound because that's the only way they know you to sound.

As I grew up, I progressively got used to my own voice more and more as I was getting older throughout most of my years through adolescence. From 2020 (which was 4 years ago) onwards, to me, I have established that my voice sounds amazing, and I don't have that past mindset to hold, or set, me back anymore

As for a camera/video being how you actually appear in front of others. That is not true. The camera distorts quite a bit. It is why people with very skinny faces are usually photogenic because the camera widens the face so they appear proportionate. Whereas people with wider faces will look like a full on block on a camera. Also photos dont capture the 3D aspect that a human eye can see. Thats why you need lighting etc when taking pics.

The amount of my exes or current gfs/friends who outright say I look way better in person than on facetime is a good indication. Also, take a piece of paper and lay it on a table and then try to take a picture of it. You will notice the paper doesnt fully fit in the lens so you will see uneven amounts of table in the background as the paper is wider near the bottom and skinner at the top.

If you want to see your true self. Get an inverse mirror. Or, get one mirror, hold it out to the side and aim it at the reflection of you in another mirror. Then look at that mirror out to the side.

so instead of giving something practical about how everything in body should be relaxed it's "just love yourself"

People: high voices have no credibility

When I hear myself I sound normal, but when other people listen to me they understand nothing because my voice is very very deep 😢

I used to (and still do sometimes) get bullied for my voice. I have a very high and small voice that makes people think I’m intentionally pitching to sound cutesy and feminine, some believe I wasn’t pretending but couldn’t help feeling annoyed by it.

But for me to make my voice lower consciously would be me pretending not to be myself. So when I hear the recording of my voice, i stopped hating how it sounded now, but still remember the worries that the next person I meet would secretly wished I don’t talk just because of my voice. No one hated my voice as much as I do and many times growing up, I prayed for a lower voice. But I’m working on being more comfortable with my voice now, it’s not worth changing yourself for people who hurt you for being who you are.

Mirror does lateral inversion; bone conduction isn't air conduction.

What I don't understand is my voice sounds higher to me but people have told me I have a deep voice. But I hear my voice deeper than they do, why do I sound like a nasally little you know.
