Stress is not something you always have control over. That's why it's stressful.

Also worth mentioning that long term stress can affect your menstrual cycle, happened to me when I was involved in way too many projects at once last year

Having a problème of anxiety and heard how bad the stress is for your body only make you more stressed. It's like an evil circle.

Easy tips to feel at least, a little less stressed:
1) Sing a song while you shower.
2) Talk face to face with people. About anything at all. Even listening to others helps.
3) Don’t walk in your house. Skip and jump to your destinations like a protagonist! (If your circumstances allow) it’s all about awakening your inner child.
4) Add the happy songs from your playlist to your daily chores.
5) Stop! Breathe, take a paper and write all of your honest feelings and problems (and possible solutions) and shred it to pieces afterwards.
6) Hug a loved one if circumstances allow.

A year ago, I stressed myself into permanent IBS and multiple other health issues. Stay safe and put yourself first, trust me! Nothing is more important than your health <3

this is ironic because I've been sick for a month and I'm starting to think its because of stress. I'm stressed out knowing that stress is making me sick lol.

I do HIIT, yoga, meditation, and spend a lot of time alone. While those help my stress/anxiety, I wish they helped MORE. I'm still high-anxiety and stressed.

I'm currently suffering from hair fall/loss since I have been highly stressed out from a few weeks. Literally every small thing now trigger me to be stressed. I spent one day being stressed about my hairfall.

I went through an extremely stressful time during the Fall and I didn’t realize how much the stress affected me and my body until I was out of it. My hair fell out, my skin broke out (and looks saggy and tired), I lost a bunch of weight (and then gained it back x2), my stomach was rough and I started getting severe heart burn, I lost my period for several months and I would wake up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night. It’s been months since then and I am still trying to recover from the stress/burn out. It’s incredibly frustrating because it is a slow process and I miss the person I was before all of this.

Well that exactly mirrors what I am currently going through. Constant stress also makes me lose interest in the things that made me happy before, rendering them as a waste of time. I feel sick and sad... but it is going to be over soon. That gives me the power to carry through.

I've been on a really long personal journey with my anxiety and stress the past 2 and a half years I've been sober. Used to mask it with alchohal and drugs but finally back to somewhat normal after digging myself into a 9 year pit. What I can say about my journey and what has helped is
a constant curiosity of life and others, Reading books and learning more about mental health, trauma, etc to more understand my own, meditation, and having a daily checklist to avoid just laying in bed hiding all day. So for anyone going through something similar or on the same lines.. it is going to be okay. The best thing you can do is keep pushing forward. I just kept doing things that proved to myself I really do love myself and want to live a happy, healthy life. Never give up. Always keep moving. You got this.
