I would love to see that the new gods aren’t just filling the hall once their cycle ends. Imagine that a new god would transcend after absorbing all of the new gods to ascend behind the shackles of the old gods.

Personally I think only LeGuarde and Logic managed to become gods that have some real relevance and had good intentions in heart, and wanted to give hipe in meaningless world.
Legiarde by uniting all kingdoms, and Logic by transitioning human countiousness to a better world where everyone could make they're own paradise. And yes none of them are trully perfect. Leguarde was a mass mu"derer who commited war crimes, and wasnt exacly sane, but he did belived in his cause. In his mind the world would be perfect with everyone united under his lead. And Logic just wanted to make something better for people who suffered after a war. Expecially her sister.

If I think correctly the old gods is embodied the abstract concepts made manifest. An avatar of that cosmic concept broken down to different aspects and coalesce into pure form and gain sentient.

They govern a part of natural order and while they are sentient they are bound by their Instict to their nature.

Unlike humanity that sprung from same chaos and born when things become harmoniously for us to be possibly exist.

We even as finite beings we still children of the universe no less than the trees and stars.

That's why we relate to the old gods even though we ain't same level of being.

While mankind has aspirations to soar high as natural to our kind in which natural to new gods to desire to transcend and ascend into higher state of being. The old dogs fixated to only to their distilled nature and cannot go against it as in doing so they risk corrupt their very existence in which they are solely rely on.

And it is fine that old gods with all their power can plucked our heartstrings cause in commonsense they are nature and go natural to us.

While we as mere weak and finite beings we try to become something more than mundane and be something more than ourselves.

It is rightfully so that technology and science we as mankind develop. We intend try not usurped the things natural to us. But rather harness them and used into new applications. As we are not bound unlike the forces of nature itself.

Think of the old gods as genies and the master of the genies as masters.

Genies are force of nature with all power they have they are bound by set of rules and binding laws. While hence the man frail and mortal still free to do as he pleases and make a difference regardless of its wish.

Its like the advancement of mankind doesn't need rely on unreliable source and wanted more sustainability.
