0.002% is really all we need at the moment. Probably won't even see the end of it before we move on to a more viable and sustainable source for storing charges. Thanks National Geographic.

National Geographic, your chemical equation at 1:32 is wrong. You know that by looking at the number of hydrogens on both sides: on the left hand side there’s only 4, while on the right hand side there is 6.... the equation goes like this 2Li + 2H2O = 2LiOH + H2... it’s quite embarrassing, just look up hydrolysis of alkali metals...

Lithium ore reserves are concentrated Lithium. The actual amount of diffuse Lithium is very much higher, contaminating almost everything we analyze. So the tiny percentage mentioned in the video is misleading.

Lithium is the third most common element in the Universe, but not here, since Earth is mostly made from supernova (waste products).
