7:00 - notably, there was also a significant divergence between services business activity and manufacturing output in the last stages of the speculative melt-up in late 2021. Ultimately, the services business activity followed the manufacturing output down. Considering the sheer intensity of the recent speculative rally, it wouldn't surprise me if much of the services business activity of the past months is in some way or another linked to the financial sector or the windfall effect from the assets rally, and to some extent also the hotly contested presidential election campaign. Therefore, it could be a last hurrah before a hard landing.
