We have had a very fruitful harvest of our apple tree - We made apple butter and apple sauce with most of them but also collected 8 bushels and took them to the cider mill and had them made into our OWN batch of apple cider - 28 gallons worth! l am happy that we have about 20 left to make this recipe of yours!

Nice looking crisp. My sister used to live in PSW for a 94 year old apple baron here in Ontario and he asked her to make him some apple sauce when she first started. Well she did and the ole fella liked it but said he was used to it having that blush pink colour. So she got a hold of his sister an found out that instead of peeling the apples for sauce they ran the cut and cored cooked apples through an old fashioned mouli sieve. Anyway love the crisp Kevin. Thanks for reminding me as we need something sweet around the house that does not make my blood sugar go zoom. We had our Thanksgiving last weekend and I am still coming down from pumpkin pie.

Hi guys! This looks sensational. I love crisps and prefer them over cobbler although I tend to make apple or peach cobblers more frequently. I don't think I've found a crisp recipe that I really liked but will definitely try this. The oatmeal is a nice touch. I'm wondering if the topping could be blended in the food processor with a few quick pulses? I may give that a try. Hope Brian was understanding of the missing corner :) Cheers!
