Not only did the publisher apologize for the book but it did so in response to an open letter denouncing the book that was signed by hundreds of Christian, Jewish, and nonreligious scholars, pretty much every scholar in a related discipline who was active in 1970 signed the letter. After this unanimous harshly negative verdict the publisher had no choice but to say “opps”

How dead inside does one have to be to read the Bible and think it could come from people under the effect of shrooms? Back when I was an Atheist I had misunderstood it because I actually had never read it a part from some isolated quotes, but even during my first steps back into reverting I realized the beauty, cohesion and historicity of the text.

It seemed that even roman educated people during first century knew well enough that christian religion had its origins in historical figure crucified during procurate of Pilate.
