I have to agree with ONE of those points. 6 years later and I still try to open the windows with the seat memory keys.
But everything else, especially open space is PERFECT - go compare that to a similar age Porsche Cayenne to know a lack of buttons is wonderful.

This car was truly designed for RHD - and that shows on the steering wheel. Perhaps flip them for LHD markets may have helped.

The empty space above the heating controls is where the CD slot is on the upgraded stereo. I don’t have an issue with any of your problems (yeah the window controls are weird but you get used to it). I’m 5’9” and yeah, the roofline is low but not an issue for me at all, not even close. I have the pano sunroof, so maybe that gives me a bit of extra space. My biggest gripe is that the front seat belts aren’t height adjustable. Edit: just noticed the pano roof in the video. Maybe the 14-way (I think) sport seats in my S help with headroom.

I drove both brands and love them both! My Jaguar XF Supercharged V6 is fasten than my 2023 BMW 540I.

I got used to opening windows like that in Range Rover so it doesn’t bother me at all. With steering wheel on the right in the uk, media control also make more sense for us :)

For your number two gripe, consider that Jaguar is a British brand, meaning in the UK, the steering wheel would be on the right side of the car and therefore your media console would be on your left.

It makes sense for the controls to be on the left side because if you drive one handed you usually use the left hand. Also the empty space below screen it usually is a place to insert cd's but that car does not have it.

The blank space above the HVAC controls is where the CD player is located on models equiped with a CD player.

Point number 2: the steering wheel DOES have the controls on the correct sides.. for the UK where its built. We have the steering wheel on the right hand side of the car cos we drive on the left. So the controls make total sense, they just put the steering wheel on the left side of the car for usa...

I think driving controls being on the right side of the steering wheel might also have to do with the majority of people being right handed and you could say these are primary whereas the menu options are secondary. I personally prefer it the way it is.
