**About Pendulum**
Pendulum, which marked CCR’s second release of 1970—following Cosmo’s Factory—was a unique title in the band’s catalog for several reasons. First, the album was the group’s sole LP to feature all original material. Typically, CCR sprinkled covers of blues songs, traditional material, and rock’n’roll standards into each of their albums, putting their own spin on classic favorites. Pendulum also found the guitar-heavy group expanding their sonic palate—experimenting with new sounds (including the use of saxophones, vocal choirs, and keyboards) and even venturing into psychedelia.  

The quartet’s musical explorations paid off. Not only was Pendulum a critical success, but it also spawned two global Top Ten hits: the reflective “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” and the upbeat “Hey Tonight.” The singles, released as a double A-side in 1971, peaked at No.8 on the Billboard Hot 100. Other highlights included the stomper “Molina,” the bluesy “Pagan’s Groove” and the twangy “Sailor’s Lament.”  

**About Creedence Clearwater Revival**
Creedence Clearwater Revival’s 1968 self-titled debut album introduced the world to guitar-playing brothers John and Tom Fogerty, drummer Doug Clifford, and bassist Stu Cook, four young men out of El Cerrito in the San Francisco Bay Area. Though they emerged in a place and time where trippy psychedelic visions were the order of the day, CCR bucked the trends and instead tapped into a rich, traditional seam of American music that connected to blues, country, rockabilly, gospel, folk and R&B.   

During their short time together as a band (1968 – 1972), the band enjoyed an unparalleled period of creativity. They’ve sold over 30 million records in the U.S. alone, releasing 14 Top 10 hits, six Platinum albums (two of which went to number one) and one Gold album. They also managed to play over 150 tour dates around the world, including a headlining spot at Woodstock. 

Creedence Clearwater Revival’s canon has become a part of the Great American Songbook. Songs like “Bad Moon Rising,” “Down on the Corner,” “Fortunate Son,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Proud Mary,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Travelin’ Band” and “Up Around the Bend” have been ingrained into pop culture — not just as rock staples, but as classic standards.  

 With so many memorable songs that continue to grace our radio waves and television and movie screens, plus lyrics that still resonate today, Creedence Clearwater Revival is, truly, America’s greatest rock ’n’ roll band.

These new YouTube uploads sound much better than the versions that can be found on Spotify. The Spotify versions are too clean and processed and have too much high end. These sound more authentic and much closer to the original vinyl records.

I was 16 years old when I got into there last concert at the Oakland coliseum arena, I managed to make my way to the front of the stage with my best friend Don Belo who was crawling around under the stage at the we had both been smoking pot I was mesmerized by the drummer the music and the energy of the crowd, they snapped a photo from behind the drummer to get a shot of the crowd my 16 year old face is in the opening of that album and that’s my claim to fame lol I also saw Jimmy Hendrix there the year before which was a total mind blowing experience 😁

What a legendary track, unmatched. Fogerty is unlike any other. Every piece of this song is perfect and essential to its mastery.

What a band what a song.They had so many great songs i find it impossible, just to pick one favorite.
In 1972 i was a student at Port Pirie High.I pestered my mum to give me two days off school. My Mum wrote a note to the school, saying i was too ill to attend, as i had dysentery Lol
CCR were playing on a Saturday night, at Appolo Stadium in Adelaide.
Wifh my best mate Brian (Bazz Alcock (Rip brother) we hitched to Adelaide approx 300 k's away.
My brother had bought us 2 x $2.50 tickets at the back of the stage.
CCR were a three piece band then.We were blown away, it was a great concert.
We then hitched back to Pirie.
Great days, fun carefree times, great mates.
I have loved CCR all my life.
I am now 69.

This is my all time favorite CCR song, just a couple of days ago it was raining🌦 temporarily for about 15 min. on a very bright ☀️sunny☀️ day and that's one of my fav. kind of rains that and 🌬windy🌬 with huge💧💧rain drop ⛈thunderstorm⛈kinds as well.
The members of CCR are extremely talented🎶🎼🎶, there music has gotten me threw lots of lifes ups🎢and downs🎡and I think there music is the best kind of music, I have several of there songs🎵🎵🎵🎵on my play list🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵.
