Weight is very important, I train with DD and have to sling it for about 8 hours regularly. So any more weight than that would ruin me. Also, it’s very accurate and reliable. Has not ever failed me.

I’m taking my Daniel defense over my sig mcx any day of the week my Daniel has been one of the most reliable rifles I’ve owned to date at this point. Love it

V7, it's lighter and more agile in urban, suburban and woodland settings .

Only one?..I’m taking the DD. DI ARs are so much more available so parts are easier to get if they’re needed. And, the weight.. The Sig is super nice. But the DD has the advantage in being able to remedy issues. Plus, they’re very very proven in their own right.

If you move that eotech to a normal spot, the virtus wont be as front heavy. You'll fatigue a lot less on your support hand.

Honestly the changes Sig made with the Spear LT makes it an amazing rifle. I shoot my spear lt more then my ARs now and before the spear lt I never even thought about getting an mcx because I hate all of Sig products except that. The p365 is nice too now that issues have been worked out.

DDM4V7slw, I just purchased this weapon and have no regrets. I did look at the Sig however, the DDM4V7slw was a better physical match to my body!

DDM4V7 - has a longer history and battle proven.

Why is the Eotech sitting way out there on the barrel ?

Why is the eotech so far forward I know if mines that far out it’s super blurry just curious if that’s what you noticed or not lol

The virtus is a better smoother rifle but a DI ar is hard to beat because you can swap a busted bcg on the daniel

DDM4V7. Sig has put out some garbage lately.

I love all of my DD M4 v7s, great AR15! That’s surprising as I am a big Sig Sauer fan, but DD M4 V7 for me

Both are fine rifles and I honestly think that the Vertis is superior in reliability and shit like that, and as far as accuracy the DD is probably going to be more accurate but I am not at the level where that would matter because both rifles will be more accurate than me! As far as weight I really don't care about that. I honestly think the Vertis wins but I would have to go with the DD in shtf because spare parts will be easier to find than the Vertis. I also prefer chrome lined barrels like the DD has, I don't get why people hate the furniture on the DD rifles I actually love the grips

The weight is absolutely a deal breaker if you are having to carry it at all times in your hypothetical scenario

For me it’s the v7. I’m alittle it of a DD fan boy if I’m being honest. If I buy another rifle that’s not a DD it’ll be the new MCX spear LT though.

I own a DDM4A1 14.5 I love it with that in mind I think the Sig is a good gun.

Oh come on the Brown Bess weighed 10.5 pounds the Springfield 1861 weighed 9 pounds the M1903 Springfield weighed 9 and maybe around 10 with the Bayonet the Garand weighed weighed 9.5 pounds the BAR weighed damn near 20 lbs the M14 weighed 9.2 and these are all empty weights.. and all those guns were much longer and less easy to maneuver with…

Not a sig fan boi..but imo the Spear LT answers all the dudes saying weight is an issue. I own all 3. I dont even shoot my DD or virtus anymore. The spear LT is my do it all rifle. housework, nods, etc. It's a superior platform. It's not a new platform, just an updated Ar18.
