I’ll use my PSA because they’re more likely to support abolishing the ATF

Considering that both Ruger and Daniel Defense made cases against abolishing the ATF in an attempt to keep their government contracts; I'll use a stick instead.

Everyone hating on DD for their political nonsense, but Ruger was one of the only gun companies that supported the 1994 AWB.

I'd take a Blemished $500 Palmetto State armory 556 and save myself 2k while supporting a company that supports 2A

I have a tricked out Ruger AR556. It's a little over gassed but it's been a 100% reliable rifle. It is also much more accurate than it would get credit for. I'm not just saying this to validate my purchase either. If it was poorly made, I'd say that. But I've been shooting it for a few years now consistently and it's given me literally zero issues. I would choose it again. No question.

That's quite possibly the only Daniel Defense on planet Earth to have a holosun on top

I love my DD so that is the route I would go between these choices. There are very few companies that have never come under fire for a statement or a position that they took regarding 2A. S&W, DD, HK, Springfield, and Ruger are some that have not always made decisions beneficial to civilian firearm ownership. That does not discount the quality of their platforms. I am sure when companies side unfavorably they have to consider their employees and their families. I am sure if many 2A companies were audited by 2A supporters they would find concessions that were made as business decisions. I am not saying it is right, but as individuals we are protected by the 2A and companies are not. Trust me I was very angry at DD years ago and never bought another one until I did years later. I have meet many employees that work for DD and they are solid 2A people.

I’m grabbing whichever is closest and not snubbing my nose at either. At this point in the quality game, it’s more about the Indian than the bow.

I have the ruger. Mine isn't that tricked but it is a nail driver.

I honestly believe that you are making these more and more difficult as you go!
With that said I’d probably pick the Ruger, I’m not a big fan of magnifier’s but that EOTech is a great choice for a 5.56

My first AR was a Ruger AR556 and I went to upgrade the furniture, charging handle, added a cheap vortex red dot and magpul sling and vfg and was still under $750 for everything at the time in 2020z I’ve put maybe 500-1, 000 rounds through it without cleaning or lube and no malfunctions. Great gun and I intend to keep, however, for hard use, duty gun, or end of world scenarios I’d go for the DD. CHF barrel and better QC for the parts and BCG.

I will stick to my aero precision. And keep the Savings in my wallet

I like the companies that actually support 2A and that are against the Tyranny of the ATF

I actually have a Ruger 556, I did not put two grand into it I just did some minor upgrades but I love the thing. It runs very well

Personally i like the ruger more. Magnification would help with hitting targets and the trigger seems lovely

Chrome bore on the DD makes me want it for life. The optics make me wanna pick up the other and run a couple drills.
