There are injustices in our society, and we know that racial animosity has led to wars, discrimination, and oppression for centuries. The church has a responsibility to advocate for the poor, the sick, and the marginalized, but to also remember that God is no respecter of persons. Only at the cross do we see what true reconciliation looks like.

I worked about 16 years paying into SS.stayed home app 10 years caring for kids, worked last 26 years in support position in public education because I was available for caring for my children before and after school. Now, I Get my retirement income from school employee retirement system. And I get only a small percentage amount from what I should have gotten from paying in to SS because of the Windfall Act.?When SS gets a COLA increase, I don’t get one, but my Medicare premium goes up. I got paid less my working years because the positions men were in paid more than positions women were in. Over the years, my husband made a lot more than I did, except the last few years he worked paying into PERS. So, when I retired. My retirement was greater than what I would get filing on his. So I ended
Getting less SSI due to WEP, less pay for being a female, and nothing for the years I stayed home and nothing for taking less to care for the children, just less all the way around. And you don’t like it if I get a bit extra for repealing the Windfall Act? Well, excuse me.
