Only at the cross do we see what true reconciliation looks like.

Dr Young if your talking about race. Who is this white guy that's presented as Jesus? How did the church get that image and why?

Let me give you an example to understand what "woke" means. Yolanda Spivey is a black American woman who applied to over 300 open jobs in insurance online, a field in which she had 10 years of working experience but did not get any response for the job she wanted. She went back to college and finished her degree, after which she re-applied for the same job but did not get the desired response. Online application platforms have a diversity questionnaire which asks about race, one can decline to answer, which the sites claim that would not compromise one's chances of getting a job, so Yolanda decided to decline answering the diversity question, still did not get the response she desired. Wondering why she was not getting response for the job she wanted with her added qualifications, Yolanda decided to create a fake profile named Bianca White, and she filled in the identical resume, identical work history and identical qualifications except for the diversity question, to which she indicated "White". After submitting the profile she received a phone call the same day, and responses in her email for the job she desired. In one week she received 9 phone calls and 7 emails as Bianca White, and no calls as Yolanda Spivey, just two emails for out of town jobs on commission basis in a period of 3 years.

So what the "Woke" movement is doing is making people aware of the inequality and discrimination that exists within society which you may not be aware of.

The scripture he quotes that says there is no race or ethnicity in the Bible talks about there is no Jew or Gentile, slave or free, but it also says male or female. Everybody that is reading this is either male or female. I love Dr. Young and respect him but he's simply not right. The Bible speaks very often about nationality, ethnicity, heritage, and family, even giving the lineage of Jesus Christ. We are equal but God made the colors. We can be one! We are one! But don’t wrongly divide scripture. God cares about color/ethnicity because he did it.
