Tampa Mayor says 'you're going to die' if you ignore evacuation orders before Hurricane Milton

Tampa, Florida Mayor Jane Castor on Monday issued a grave warning to residents of her city ahead of the expected landfall of Hurricane Milton.

Milton, currently classified as a Category 4 storm, is expected to hit Florida on Wednesday, posing the potential for further destruction following the arrival of Hurricane Helene late last month. The National Hurricane Center described Milton as “extremely powerful” with winds up to approximately 155 miles per hour.

Mayor Castor warned Tampa residents in an appearance on CNN the storm is not to be trifled with.
